President Ross called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
The Pledge was led by Michael Rickard.
Donna gave an invocation.
Daniela led us in the Four Way Test.
Jeff led us in a singing of "Take Me Out to the Ball game."
Ed gave a short joke. Maybe the long one would have been funnier.

11/13 will be the Rotary dinner at Applewood to raise money for the El Molino Culinary Scholarships.
Happy Bucks: Ed threw in a happy buck for feeling good about helping a couple of stranded bicyclists. Erin gave $5 in happiness for her daughter Caitlin getting a new job at Adele's in Santa Rosa. Kim gave $5 for having fun baby-sitting her grand kids. Marty gave a dollar "just because."
Fines: President Ross fined himself $10 as a combination of his 5 year induction anniversary and Barbara's birthday. Marty was fined $2 for suggesting we watch the Giants game during the meeting, $10 for failing to notify President Ross about his absences, and finally after Herman passed his maximum fine amount, Marty was on the receiving end of another $2 from him. Hans was fined $10 for being a bit chauvinistic toward Lori during the bidding at the Culinary Dinner and a further $10 for showing her up as well. Lori was fined $10 for letting him get away with it! Chuck was fined $10 for some visible construction work and a further $2 for not having his pin. Brendan was fined $5 "just because". I better get into some trouble to make it more interesting! Jeff was fined $10 for missing the Culinary Dinner when forced to work overtime. Daniela was fined $5 for being the youngest member of the Club and making her dad feel old(er). Herman J. was fined $2 for a missing pin and $10 for dissing the Prez. Finally $10 from Donna for suggesting that President Ross was putting people to sleep!
Raffle:
Program: El Molino Culinary was present to receive the funds that were raised at the dinner last week. Herman gave an introduction. Rotary Matched funds from the El Molino HS Foundation. Chris Carver was there representing the Foundation.
Our main speaker was District Governor Kevin Eisenberg who was introduced by Lt. Governor Valerie Hulsey. Kevin gave us some background on Rotary, including the origin of the "singing clubs". He talked about the Light Up Rotary theme this year. It is based on the saying from Confucius,"It is better to light a single candle than to sit and curse the darkness." He went on to explain his own motto for the District, bringing "Pride & Joy" to Rotary. He also reminded us of the 6 objectives of the Rotary Foundation:
